Sean is not wearing a super ugly sweater - those are pyjamas.
Also, that plushie Amp is carrying is based on a character
from my friend AlexFili's "Habilis Valitor" project.

I guess most people control two elements that support each other.
Three means you have to throw one opposite there.
Four would probably destroy you because of imbalance?

How is it with opposites?

For my characters, almost any combination of 2 or 3 Elements is possible.
It can be pretty random. Having opposites is no problem,
they can have Fire and Water for example.

I just put this physical limit in place so that nobody can master all nine Elements,
the most they can get is 3. If someone tried to force a 4th Element to come out,
nothing would happen, simple as that.

Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Plant, Electricity, Ice, Light
I think these were mentioned and shown so far.
Maybe Dark is the missing one... Hm.
(not sure if Light is meant as "good" or just literally light)

Yep, Dark was mentioned too.
Light and Dark are not necessarily "good" and "evil",
as there are good characters with the Dark Element.
The Light Element is rare, but will play an important role later.

Pffft, that is easy for Amp and Raida, because siblings spar whether they want to or not! XD

Not best friends, though.

Yeah I don't know that Raida enjoys sparring with an overly energetic brother, but it does happen :P

Since this seems the place to discuss the elements... I feel like there are 2 elements too many:
Ice is just frozen water. (What about Steam?) Unless the element Ice means lowering temperatures but that seems to interfere with Fire, especially when a Fire elementeer can extinguish fire at will.

And Dark is just the absence of light - unless a Light user can create light but not extinguish it, but then, Dark would be the direct opposite of light and nothing else. Also, Fire usually creates light as a byproduct.

Ice and Fire also involve temperatures, yes. Ice users can lower the temperature to some degree, and resist lower temperatures better.

Fire users can get rid of fire, but not make temperatures drop to freezing point.

Anyway. I ain't no scientist; the Elements were never the main focus in my mind, so I'm sure I've made mistakes. My main concern is the characters, their emotions, their struggles. That's the part that fascinates me :D

Thank you - reading on I noticed that there's more to Dark than just darkening, so one shouldn't take the names as literal.
